The Object of Obsession.

I have been Cyber-Harassed for six years. This is my story. *It pains me to post this on my photography and travel blog but it is my voice and I'm now using it.


After 10 years of having the same phone number, and at the suggestion of the local law enforcement, we have had to change our mobile phone numbers because of a cyber-stalker in the US. The Enabler works for a high profile law firm in Nashville.
This stalker is a drug addict and dealer with a criminal record. He has been harassing us for years and hides behind cloud servers like Vultr and DigitalOcean to mask his location, but we are still able to track him. The information contained in his nasty blogs that he has created about me and my family, his social media posts and e-mails are factually inaccurate and damaging to my professional reputation and family. My children are scared as the threats have been ongoing for years - just yesterday he posted a comment on my blog asking "Who is in Nashville, Mel?" as if to imply he were HERE in Sydney. The threat of my stalker flying from Nashville is real but law enforcement don't think it's likely as he has no job and is supported by his partner and/or on government handouts. I call him an enabler. The enabler has known about the harassment for many years, yet he can't seem to control my stalker. My stalker has faced the threat of being evicted, but somehow, his enabler keeps covering for him.

For now, we have enlisted the help of a psychologist to help us understand how to cope with the constant threats and cyber-harassment that is continuing to happen daily, mostly to G's work e-mail from newly created e-mail accounts.

Multiple IC3 and ACORN reports have been made since 2015. I have done a lot of research into cyber-crime/harassment and unfortunately, due to the international nature of the harassment, little can be done until a physical threat is made or actually happens.


Cyber Harassment and Cyber Stalking includes all of these - which my stalker has done to us many times:
Constantly messaging, emailing or texting you in a way that makes you feel intimidated or scared or leaving (language warning) voice mails such as this one I received from my stalker in March 2017. My stalker also loved to call me and leave (language warning) harassing messages and disguise his number and voice with a Spoof Card.
Hacking attempts to e-mail accounts - creating similar accounts or password change attempts

Impersonating you or spreading rumours about you

Posting embarrassing, fake or intimate videos, photos or comments about you My stalker knows how to take any data from any website and change it to say whatever he wants. He is relatively tech savvy and can manipulate e-mails and other data by photo shop or the inspect element tool. He has threatened many times to post "horrible" things that will "destroy" me and my family. Here is how he does it.


My stalker has often called and e-mailed galleries in which I have exhibited and told them about my childhood - growing up poor and having a father commit suicide. I am not ashamed of this information, but my stalker is obsessed with it. He thinks it embarrasses me. The only thing that bothers me about it is, my children have already learned about their grandfather because of my stalker's harassment.

Threats * Blackmail * Libel * Defamation Up until yesterday, my old blog post had been up for over a week. Somehow he had it removed...I can only think that it must have been his name that appeared in a news article about his arrest. The sustained harassment I have received over the years from a relative till not be tolerated and the threats are still coming in but only via e-mail under newly created e-mail accounts as he cannot call us directly.




These threats of releasing my personal emails between my mother and myself just arrived this morning, 2 June 2017 at 6AM. What sane, sober human being posts threats of exposing every personal e-mail between my mother and myself, mostly about my CHILDREN when they were babies, to social media? Do it, stalker. I will sue you and your partner on behalf of my mother as I know you both had her laptop after she died. To go through the e-mails and messages is an invasion of her privacy and everyone she e-mailed. That is disgraceful and reprehensible. Maybe I need to get a good lawyer in Nashville.





The cyber-stalker has created blogs about me, which I have had removed, he has posted defamatory information about me on my children's sailing association social media. My stalker has often referred to my children as being disabled and retarded (not true, but even if it was, who says this?) This was sent to the national sailing association (AIODA) page after he created a blog about me.

My stalker loves to post fictitious material to social media - mostly people with whom I am associated with via sailing or my photography. He targets clients of mine and Olympians and professional sailors with posts such as this:





These are a few comments I received yesterday on my old blog post. The comments were made from one source in Nashville, TN. My stalker.










I've been up for 14 hours - mostly rebuilding my blog post and filing away about 20+ comments/emails/posts that my stalker has made. The latest ones are here - the first a comment on my citizenship post and the rest, several of the 10 or so 'new clients' that signed up for website access today and other random blog posts that the unknown author deleted.



These posts show a whole other side to the crazy that I've been dealing with for years. The constant threatening and harassing messages have now morphed into this - threats of my stalker's suicide? Surely anyone that would have seen any sort of mental breakdown on Twitter, SnapChat or Instagram would have called the local authorities - especially since I don't follow my stalker on any of those platforms! And, I live thousands of kilometers away! My stalker has a LOT of time on his hands.
